The beer opener I designed is for men aged 25 to 35 most of whom are leaders in their groups. This kind of people are independent, they do everything themselves even little things in daily life, and they have fun doing them. Also, as a leader, they want everything under their control. They like simple, unique products and make decisions fast because they are always busy, but once they are free, they’d like enjoy their life. This group of men got high grade of personal tastes and they pay attention on their quality of life.
According to the target market I’ve chosen, I design this simple beer opener. It got a quite modern and streamlining shape, like a fast shuttle. Once seen it, people feel the speed and efficiency of this simple tool. Shinning metallic surface shows it is made of steel so that is quite tough and can easily open beer. As we know, mostly men have big hands, so this extra-long handle can fit, and comfortable grip make people feel the full control of this product. In you a physical view, the longer the handle is, the less strength it needs to open beer, that means people can open the bottle much easier. Moreover, it can be treated as a decoration on table due to the modern appearance.
In one word, this product perfectly fits its target market with the unique simple shape and comfortable under-controlled handling.
I have to say that ur real model really shocked me cuz the smooth surface for the whole product reflects the ability to have with sanding and finishing the model.
ReplyDeleteHowever,for me, I really think that you could improve your ability of doing the posters and the background you choose for every single picture on the posters.I don't really like the way for any pictures that included in the posters are in a mess. It is unconvenient for the viewers to focus on the product that you want them to focus.
This is a nice design, I liked this instantly. Maybe because we have the same target market, I could relate to yours. I really like the slim line design on the bottle opener, it's very contemporary. The colour is perfect as well. I don't really know what you can improve on it, but the design seems to be a little feminine as well, i guess because of the slim line design. If you were designing just for men, i think you should of just made the handle thicker as men have a larger hands and also men like to know they're in control and therefore with a ticker handle that can take that control into their manly hands.
ReplyDeleteI quite like the form of the beer opener, it's simplicity made it looks pretty good, especially the bottom part where there's a curve.
ReplyDeleteI think what can make the product look better might be having a chrome service instead of just matt silver.
I really liked the style, it has a very simplstic form and texture which elevates its quality as one looks at it. It really separates itself from other bottle openers, the fact that it has a more ergonimic handle also semantically indicating where people can hold it, direction of use etc...the only recommendation i have is probably market or brand the product in terms of posters, continuing its simplistic character. ReplyDeleteI like the general appearance as it is so simple but elegant. ( that is the thing i need to learn from you cos i always want to make my design alegant but its often failed cos i put too much things on it ... )
It is great as you consider the lenghth of the opener so that it fits for men's hands and also less force to open. I think it can be fatter and wider ( abit ) so it can express the strength of a man .... I think it is just an addition of idea , not really necessary .... ^^^ finally , as i can see your design is just so perfect , yes i would buy it for my man .

Obviously, it is a beer opener but has the most elegant appearance. Every man will be attracted and amazed by this product. I will definitely buy it if it is on the market.
